I'm back, beloved viewers, I'm back! And in color to boot!
After a long hiatus (most of 2007), I have returned to regale the world with my life. Hopefully there are still a few left in the audience. (Keener? Are you there?)
Just so we can feel like we didn't miss an entire year out of my life, here's a brief recap of 2007:
January:
Went to Disneyland
Had our first annual girls' night out, followed by the first annual Scrapbooking Mayhem day
One of my best friends, Jesse, got married
Had a Harry Potter movie night with the friends, complete with house scarves knitted by Sara Dillon
February:
Went to Disneyland
Celebrated Valentine's Day with Jenna and the boys (I think)
Was an extra on set for Veronica Mars, the best television show EVER
March:
Went to Disneyland twice
More Veronica Mars extra-ing
April:
Went to Disneyland with new friends who also extra'd
Went to spring banquet and spent most of the time with Jenna and Mandy taking pictures of ourselves and not socializing with our schoolmates
May:
Graduated college
(Went to Disneyland)
June:
Moved again (Rancho San Diego... I miss you!)
Went to Sarah and Adam's wedding
Did not go to Disneyland
July:
Went to the Del Mar fair with my work family
Was very excited about Harry Potter #5
August:
Turned 23
Went on a rad road trip to Colorado to visit Sara and Tyler, upping my states visited list to six
Went to Disneyland
Read Harry Potter #6 and #7 before anyone could spoil me
Discovered digital scrapbooking and seriously considered abandoning paper
September:
Apparently nothing excited happened in this month.
Oh, I went to Disneyland twice
October:
Firestorm 2007!
Christmas Announcement Party!
Halloween!
Went to Disneyland for the last time with my 2007 pass
November:
Had a fairly good Thanksgiving with my family. In fact, I think it was our best yet.
Went Black Friday shopping at 5a.m. and got everything I wanted
Went to Sea World with Sonia
December:
Was very cold
Got to see Triple Expresso with my extended work family at our Christmas shindig. And the principal from Veronica Mars was in it!
January 2008 (first twenty-two days)
Became wildly obsessed with paper scrapbooking again
Came up with a great idea for a Newbery award-winning children's novel
Got a haircut
Great, now that we're all caught up, here's what's happing now.
I just got back from Michael's where they are having an amazing sale. I'm talking paper for a quarter, 40% off stickers, the cutest rack of dollar stuff you've ever seen (think way beyond Target), and the cutest stackable boxes, of which I picked up three. Oh yes, it deserves an a-mazing.
When I got home from work tonight, both my roommate's cars were gone, and I fully expected to walk into an empy dark hourse. But despite all outside appearances, there were actually four friends inside (well, three and a half- one was Britt's little brother), having a rip-roaring good time. And I, someone who grew up where having friends over was rarely allowed, was able to fully appreciate just how great it is to come home and find four people there, dinner on the table, and a wrestling match going on in the living room. Thank God for the crazy people in my life. : )
And now, I'm off to organize my crafts in my aweseome new boxes!

Luke 6:38...
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
I read this tonight, and it just sounded so poetic. Makes you want to go out and just give, doesn't it?
Heartlight.org had this quote in their commentary: "Our blessings will be based upon our willingness to bless others."
Something to think about.

Life Update
Wow! I have not been good at posting this year. Sorry to all of my adoring fans out there (cough, Brittany at Lib U.)
Life Update #1: We've moved again! Yippee skippee, June came around once again, and, as is the custom when you are a female in your early twenties, it was time to move to a new apartment. For the first time in my life I live outside of El Cajon (I figure Jamul summers don't count). Jenna and I have taken up residence with Brittney and her two roommates over in La Mesa, the one town in East County that I find myself constantly lost in. Darn non-grid system. It's... interesting so far. We haven't actually even lived with Brittney yet, since she is still in India, so we're not sure yet what the dynamic will be. Right now, we're just kind of winging it.
Life Update #2: We started a new company at work. This one is an AWESOME IDEA, though. My boss decided for his third book we should try our own hand at publishing. So he went and started his own publishing company. This is amazing mainly because my career goal is to work for a publishing company in between now and getting married and cranking out some cute kids. I've gotten to teach myself how to use Adobe InDesign to typeset the new book, gotten to edit it, I'm working with Justin on cover design and graphics, and we've just started talking logistics with the printer. It's a-mazing. Seriously, kids, only God works out amazing stuff like that.
Life Update #3: Since GRADUATION TWO MONTHS AGO, I've found myself with much more free time to do whatever I want, read, watch TV, scrapbook, whatev. But of course, being me, I have to do something at least slightly productive when I'm using my free time, so I decided to actually schedule out for myself time for writing. I figure this summer is as good a time as any to finally get that great American novel done. You can find me Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the back corners of the Rancho San Diego and El Cajon libraries, typing away.
Sadly, those are pretty much the only updates worhty of being written about. There are lots of little things going on, too, but nothing that would lend itself to more than a sentence or two.
... All right, back to work for me. :)

Ode to Box 246
Well, so far the worst thing about graduating this week was that today I had to part with my mailbox key.
I wasn't even ready to do it. They just demanded it right there.
I couldn't even get in the "last-time-checking-my-box-for-fun-things" picture.
Life will forever be different.
What a melancholy week.

I give up
All right, all right. I've decided to embrace being sick. Among other things this includes putting off a paper for lit class due tomorrow and breaking out the chicken noodle soup. If only I had some 7-up it would be a real party.
If anyone needs me, I'll be on the couch at apartment B22, watching reruns of Veronica Mars, season one, disc three specifically.

Attention: NEW POST
Ha ha ha. Brittany Keener keeps telling me I need to post something new. So here's to Brittany, who's sitting across from me at the B22 kitchen table on her spring break right now. She has no idea I'm typing this, or that it's about her. I'm sneaky like that.
Hope you're having fun in Virginia, Brittany. Hope it snows for you and you can ditch more classes than just the first one that gets delayed!
